Atlantis Casino has 1,000 guest rooms
Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, a tropical island-themed hotel featuring waterfalls, trees and thatched huts, recently underwent a $100 million expansion. The full-service resort combines a desirable, central location, fine dining, an all-new spa and non-stop nightlife. It also features an enclosed walkway spanning Virginia Street and a large outdoor torch that can be seen for some distance on clear nights.
Atlantis' three hotel towers have a combined 1,000 guest rooms and Jacuzzi suites. In addition to having the largest gaming floor in Reno, it is also home to the city's only Concierge Tower. The gaming floor offers more than 1,400 slots and video poker machines as well as table games, a spanking new race and sports book and a smoke-free poker room. Kids (and some adults) will get a kick out of the glass-fronted elevator that allows visitors to watch their progress to the upper floors.
In addition to indoor and outdoor pools, the Atlantis recently added extensive spa and salon facilites. These include 15 treatment rooms, couples suites, various inhalation and relaxation areas, a full gym, tea lounges and saunas.
Atlantis offers at least eight dining spots as well as numerous bars, a coffee counter and a snack bar. The restaurants include Toucan Charlie's Buffet and Grille, Monte Vigna Italian Ristorante, Atlantis Seafood Steakhouse, the newly remodeled Cafe Alfesco and the Sky Terrace oyster and sushi bars. Toucan Charlie's Buffet and Grille is a good choice for families, offering separate stations for omelets, Mongolian barbecue, Asian wok-fried cuisine, fajitas, desserts and two for meat dishes. And the steakhouse offers unusual fare such as puffer fish and eel.
